Free Joomla Templates (for Joomla 1.5)

So far, we are only offering 1 Joomla 1.5 template, which is one we have developed ourselves (more might follow in future). The design for this template was originally released by SWSoft for Mambo under the GPL, so the design copyright remains with them. However, as it was (and remains) GPL, we have completely re-written the template from scratch for Joomla 1.5. The code has been vastly improved and streamlined to create a very lightweight yet fully functional template. The menus are collapsible, it is W3C compliant, and contains accessibility features. In addition to the features of the old template, the following enhancements are available in this new version:

• State of menus (expanded/collapsed) is 'remembered' (via a cookie) for up to 30 days
• Choice of colours (blue, green, or red) - specify the colour you want using the template parameters in Joomla administrator
• The header section is fully resizable up to 180px deep, to accommodate even large company logos with ease
• Improved search engine friendliness! The main content is output near the top of the HTML, so search engines can index the most important things first
• Unlike its predecessor, this template does not bypass any of Joomla's normal functions
• Files are smaller and faster to load
• All tables have been removed from the template - it uses tableless XHTML and CSS
