What security measures are implemented by Netshine Hosting? |
|
We implement a wide range of defensive strategies to ensure our servers are as secure as possible. However, the security of your website is largely dependent on you - you must ensure that you keep your software up-to-date. This means upgrading Joomla or Mambo whenever a new release is published, as well as keeping any 3rd party component, modules, templates, etc. up-to-date, and any non-Joomla scripts too. Our security measures include: - All servers housed in secure data centres (in London, UK and Texas, US), which implement physical security measures (security card access to buildings, security guard patrols, fire protection systems, etc.)
- Register Globals switched off
- suPHP enabled
- Suhosin PHP hardening implemented
- Hardware and software firewalls in place, including mod_security and Configserver
- CXS Exploit Scanner
- Server software (operating system, control panel, etc.) is updated automatically by us as required (we do not upgrade Mambo or Joomla for you though!)
- Anti-spam software to help control unwanted email
- 24/7 network monitoring from 4 different locations around the world
