The Joomla software itself is free.  All of the templates (or 'themes') that are available for download from this page are also free (there are many commercial templates and template clubs available also, or you could pay to have a unique template developed according to your requirements).  There are many free add-on components for Joomla which allow you to add extra features such as an events calendar or guestbook (see http://extensions.joomla.org for a comprehensive list of available add-ons, both free and commercial).

In order to run and use Joomla, you need a website hosting account (this basically means that you rent space on a 'web server' to store your website and make it available to the internet).  This is paid for usually on a monthly or annual basis.  You can see the hosting plans that we offer (including installation and support for Joomla) by clicking here.
