When Netshine first started offering hosting services, we did so using shared reseller accounts (reselling web space on servers owned by another hosting company, and shared with that company's other customers). Now that we have a larger client base though, we lease our own servers - so it is only our own clients who have websites on our servers. We also have full root access to the servers.

We still use reseller accounts for backup sites for those clients who take out the DNS failover option, as this helps us keep the cost of that service down, and those backup sites are only there in case of emergency if the site's main server were to go down. Some of our long-standing clients with smaller websites are also still on shared servers, but all new clients are added to our own servers.
